Oppo announced its new smartphone ‘Reno’ a couple of days ago in China. The company announced two new smartphones under the new series – Oppo Reno with 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 710 SoC, 48MP rear camera. Also, at the event, Oppo announced Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition which comes with a triple rear camera setup including a periscope telephoto camera.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080p)AMOLED display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection over at the front, 97% NTSC (typical) DCI-P3 Color gamut. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition powered by the latest Octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor clocked at 2.84GHz, Adreno 640 GPU. The Oppo Reno comes in three variants 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB, 8GB+256GB, LPDDR4x 2133mhz RAM and UFS 2.1 flash memory, there is no external storage support. The device is running on Android 9.0 Pie and is backed with a 4065mAH battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging via Type-C port.

Coming to the camera department on the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, it features a 48MP(f/1.7)+13MP(f/3.0)+8MP(f/2.2) triple cameras with LED flash, 1/2″ Sony IMX586 sensor, 6P lens, support AF, closed-loop motor, pixel aggregation technology, OIS at the rear. The rear camera also comes with 10x hybrid optical zoom and Dual OIS support. Over at the front, it comes with a unique side-raising front camera at the top with a 16MP f/2.0 aperture, 79.3° wide angle, and LED flash and includes features like AI Wisdom Beauty, Front HDR, Facial Recognition, Front Portrait Style. Some of the other interesting features of the device include ultra-clear night view 2.0, Game Boost 2.0 for a better gaming experience, In-display fingerprint scanner for security, Hi-Res audio, triple microphone, and Dolby Atmos.

The Oppo Reno is available in Extreme night black and Fog sea green color options. It will go on sale in mid of May in China. Oppo will also introduce Oppo Reno 10x Zoom 5G Edition in the coming months.
