Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 announced in China

Xiaomi has announced Redmi Note 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 announced in China which are the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi Pad 3 respectively. Both of these are only available only in Chiana as of now and there is no word on the Global/India availability yet.

Redmi Note 6 Pro

The Redmi Note 6 Pro packs in a 5.84-inch Full HD+(2160 x 1080 Pixels) 19:9 2.5D curved glass display with a Notch up front. Xiaomi’s love with the Snapdragon 625 processor continues as this device is also powered by the same with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in three variants- 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage while offering microSD card support up to 128GB. They are running on the latest MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery.

Coming to the camera department, the 6 Pro is equipped with dual 12MP+5MP shooters at the rear with Sony IMX486 and Samsung S5K5E8 sensors respectively with the primary Sensor being f/2.2, 1.25 microns Pixel Size and Secondary Sensor being a  f/2.2, 1.12 microns Pixel Size. In the front camera department, there is a major downgrade from the previous gen as the 6 Pro comes with only a 5MP selfie camera compared to the 20MP found on the 5 Pro. The camera packs in features like AI Portrait mode, which gives SLR-like background blur, 1080P video recording. The front camera comes with HDR mode, AI portrait mode, AI beauty function. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and also supports face unlock. Other features of the device include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and, IR Blaster.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro 3+32GB will cost 1099 yuan(INR 10,388), the 4+32GB will cost 1199 yuan(INR 12,460), and the 4+64GB will cost 1299 yuan (INR 13,500). The Mi Pad 4 will go on sale in China from June 27th.

Mi Pad 4

This tablet is having an 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) FHD+ display, it is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 3+32GB and 4+64GB combinations with microSD card support up to 256GB. The Mi Pad 4 is running on the MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is packed with a 6000mAh battery and it uses USB Type-C port for charging.

The Mi Pad 4 houses a 13MP rear camera(OV13855 sensor) with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera (Samsung S5K5E8 sensor) with f/2.0 aperture. Other features of the device include 4G LTE (optional), dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS.

The Mi Pad 4 3+32GB will cost 1099 yuan(INR 11,426), the 4+64GB will cost 1099 yuan(INR 14,548), and the 4+64GB with 4G LTE will cost 1499 yuan (INR 15,584). The Mi Pad 4 will go on sale in China from June 27th.
